International Business Attitudes to Corruption

08. December 2014

Published by Control Risks, this report explores key findings of a survey of more than 600 in-house counsel, private practice lawyers and compliance/risk management professionals on international business attitudes to corruption.

KEY FINDINGS:

The US is consistently tough on foreign bribery: The world’s largest economy continues to enforce the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act diligently.

Industrialised economies are improving enforcement: OECD countries are following the USA's lead – albeit unevenly.

Emerging markets are tightening controls: China and Brazil (among others) are showing that the West does not have a monopoly on anti-corruption enforcement.
